We are a three partner chartered accountancy firm, practicing in diverse areas of public practice. Two of the partners are past presidents and fellows of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. Our firm’s policy is to support the rules and pronouncements of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the professional standards established by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, as well as the intent behind those rules. Partners C. Alan Holt, MBA, FCA: Alan holds degrees in business studies from Carleton University (B.Com), the University of Toronto (DBA), and the University of Calgary (MBA). He is a member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and Alberta, and a past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. Alan is a Fellow (FCA) and a Life Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. He continues to be an active volunteer and has served on several Alberta and Canadian committees within the profession. Alan has been a chartered accountant since 1970 and in public practice since 1972.
Ann I. Rooney, MSc, FCA: Ann holds degrees from York University (BA) and the University of Alberta (MSc). She is a member and Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. Ann served as president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 1996-97, the only woman to ever hold that position. She has served on several provincial and national committees within the profession, and continues to be actively involved with several committees. Since 1987, Ann has practiced mainly in public accounting, but also worked in industry for several years.
Carrie Wong, MPAcc, CA: Carrie holds degrees in marketing and accounting from the University of Lethbridge (B.Mgt) and the University of Saskatchewan (MPAcc). She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and is active with the CA School of Business in marking exams. Carrie has been a Chartered Accountant since 2006 and spent time in industry prior to receiving her designation.
Our Staff We are an approved training office for students registered in the CA School of Business (CASB) program. We have several students who are at various stages in their CA training, as well as students in training for other accounting designations. Our office supports their training in house and for their professional courses.
